CAMERON PARK, CA – December 5, 2017 – Mike Owen, Candidate for El Dorado County Auditor-Controller announced today that he has completed 80 hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) as required by the California State Board of Accountancy to obtain the renewal of his CPA license. His memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants (CalCPA) continue uninterrupted.
Owen stated, “I am very pleased to announce that today, on my 25th wedding anniversary and exactly 6 months before the date the taxpayers of El Dorado County will vote for their next Auditor-Controller, I have reinstated my CPA license after completing 80 hours of CPE, including 4 hours of ethics training. I found it valuable to refresh the accounting and auditing expertise that I gained and applied during my 20 year finance career auditing and working with some of Silicon Valley’s most notable companies including Apple and Cisco Systems”.
Owen previously ran for the Auditor-Controller post in El Dorado County in 2014 and was awarded 45% of the vote.
The next election date is set for June 5th, 2018.
