I'm Mike Owen and I am running for El Dorado Auditor-Controller. Some of you may know me as the founder and co-owner of Crystal Basin Cellars and Bistro in Camino, as the Chairman of the County's Economic Advisory Commission from 2006 to 2007, as a local contractor or as a student-athlete from El Dorado High School. While I proudly bear those local and small business credentials, my training and experience as a Silicon Valley-based CPA allow me to bring my skills and qualifications to bear for the benefit of the citizens of El Dorado County. While the role of Auditor-Controller is not always well understood, it is a critical role at a critical time in our County. The election for Auditor-Controller will be decided in June. It is time for action! In that spirit, my campaign team and I will be hosting a series of Wednesday night "meet and greets" around the County so I can share my energy and ideas and raise funds to support my campaign efforts.
"I've stood in this spot at the Board Chambers as well. Mike Applegarth has conviction and speaks the truth".
"People continue to ask why I am running for the office of Auditor-Controller. This is the reason in a nutshell - summarized by Ed Knapp, ED County Counsel".
Did you know Harn has a CPA firm that audits governments that is based out of Walnut Creek? How many hours does he bill?
Want to hear what Mike is thinking about the County? He thinks about it a LOT! Can you handle a whole hour? Thanks much to Rob Charny from OGTV for the interview!
